San Marcos Tours

We offer three different 11-hour San Marcos tours, beginning at 7:00 AM and ending at 6:00 PM. See the rough schedule below. You can also mix portions of two of them for the price of the more expensive tour. For example, you could go to Wonder World Park in the morning and shopping in the afternoon.

San Marcos is the county seat of Hays County.  The Spanish tried unsuccessfully to settle the area in 1755. The first white person to settle in the vicinity of the San Marcos Springs was Thomas G. McGehee in November 1846. It received its charter in 1848.  Texas State University is located here.

San Marcos Tour A — Shopping

7:00 – 10:00 AM Drive from Houston to San Marcos
10:00 – 12:00 PM Shopping at Prime Outlets San Marcos with over 100 stores.
12:00 – 1:00 PM Lunch. Options include, but are not limited to, the Cracker Barrel, Outback Steakhouse, River City Bar & Grill, Taco Bell, and Wendy's.
1:00 – 3:00 PM Shopping at Tangier Outlets San Marcos with over 100 stores.
3:30 – 6:00 PM Drive from San Marcos to Houston.

San Marcos Tour C —Wonder World Park and Aquarena Center

7:00 – 10:00 AM Drive from Houston to San Marcos
10:00 – 12:15 PM Wonder World Park with its cave tour, Tejas Tower, anti-gravity house, and wildlife petting park.
12:15 – 12:45 PM Lunch at the Wonder World Cafe.
1:00 – 3:00 PM Aquarena Center with its glass bottom boats to look at the aquatic life of the San Marcos River, visit the aquariums, and the hiking trails.
3:00 – 6:00 PM Drive from San Marcos to Houston.
